We started Gong exactly five years ago. We dreamt of a future where businesses understand the true reality of their customers, instead of being guided by biased opinions. In this future, sales and service professionals are superheroes, solving their customer’s most critical problems. In this future, buyers are delighted in every interaction with their vendors. And in this future, businesses win BIG — achieving growth targets, building the best products, and developing raving fans. This is what motivated us to leave our ‘day jobs,’ conceptualize revenue intelligence, and build Gong. We’ve been humbled to watch thousands of companies join our vision and put our technology to use in ways we could have only imagined.
Today I’m excited to share that we’ve raised a $250M Series E financing to help scale our platform and team. The funding will support the massive growth in revenue intelligence and enable the future of selling.
The funding round was led by Franklin Templeton joined by Coatue, Salesforce Ventures, Sequoia, Thrive Capital, and Tiger Global. Gong is now valued at $7.25B, nearly 3X the company’s valuation in our last round, demonstrating the growing potential investors clearly see in our future.
Our growth is only possible due to our customers who have been with us on our journey to date, our employees who have worked tirelessly to take revenue intelligence from vision to reality, and our partners who have helped evangelize revenue intelligence. We’re just getting started!
Looking ahead, we are laser focused on developing the real source of truth for revenue practitioners and leaders. We will invest purposefully in building new products. We will continue to invest in our people as well, with a focus on personal and professional development while continuing to diversify our team as we grow our global customer base. We could not be more excited for the years to come.
