Gong Introduces Proprietary Generative AI Models Built for Revenue Teams

June 8, 2023

Customer-Centric AI Models Understand Context and Intent to Automate Sales Workflows and Produce Highly Personalized, Accurate, and Secure Content

SAN FRANCISCO – June 8, 2023: Gong, the Revenue Intelligence leader, today launched new proprietary generative AI models built specifically for revenue teams and customizable by individual companies. Utilizing Gong’s dataset of tens of billions of captured and analyzed sales interactions – including calls, emails, and web conferences, among others – the models produce highly accurate and relevant content that helps revenue teams shorten seller workflows to drive efficiencies and win more deals.

Gourmet Ads is using Gong’s new generative AI feature Call Spotlight to increase sales rep productivity and efficiency. “Call Spotlight is dramatically reducing the time my team spends consuming information during the sales prospecting process, while quickly surfacing call highlights, outlines, and next steps without having to listen to calls,” said Benjamin Christie, President, Gourmet Ads. “Its ability to accurately understand and convey the context of sales conversations is transformative.”

Generative AI that Understands Customers and Revenue Teams

Unlike off-the-shelf systems, Gong’s proprietary generative AI models are able to accurately categorize data specific to sales deals, such as customer objections, and understand context and intent in sales conversations, such as the disposition of a conversation, to produce results that are highly relevant and accurate to revenue teams.

The new generative AI capabilities in the Gong Revenue Intelligence platform help revenue teams improve decision-making and win more business by autonomously surfacing and prioritizing the most critical next actions for deals, generating personalized content tailored to specific accounts, and freeing sales reps’ time to focus on strategies that drive growth. New and future capabilities include:

  • Pipeline management: Gong autonomously aggregates points of interest across deals, accounts, and contacts to provide revenue teams with a complete view of deal risks and opportunities. Gong will also allow open-ended questions about accounts (e.g., “Did the customer mention when they intend to start a pilot?”). In addition to surfacing valuable insights, this can reduce information consumption time by over 20x.
  • Advanced coaching: Gong generates summaries of critical information conveyed in sales calls, including intent and outcomes, based on what’s important to the business. This helps managers prioritize the most pressing actions for teams and coach through obstacles. Managers can also save time by scanning summaries 5-10 times faster than listening to calls.
  • Market insights: Gong helps revenue teams understand important emerging market trends and themes that companies don’t know yet to track. For example, with Gong customers can understand what are the top objections or concerns customers have across different segments, and how each one is trending.
  • Sales engagement: Announced today, Gong Engage automatically generates highly personalized emails that take into account previous interactions with prospects and buyers and account facts (e.g., pain points) to drive better results.

“Gong launched in 2016 to harness the power of AI to rid customer-facing people of their day-to-day drudgery. We have been working with LLMs for over a year, and see it as a major breakthrough. But highly accurate, domain-specific AI that delivers a deep understanding of what’s going on within a sales organization and the next steps needed to win deals is more elusive,” said Gong co-founder and CEO, Amit Bendov. “AI is the core of Gong’s platform, and our new models exemplify the sales-driven advancements we’re bringing to market to help our customers transform their teams and accelerate revenue growth.”

Gong uses a combination of proprietary in-house models, trained using Gong’s unique customer-interaction dataset and customized to customers’ business, and augmented general-purpose large language models to deliver unrivaled accuracy and relevance for revenue teams.

AI Customized for Individual Businesses

Gong is already working with customers to tailor its AI capabilities to their specific needs. Smart Trackers helps revenue teams accurately understand the context of customer interactions. As the first user-trainable AI system customized for companies, Smart Trackers can be trained to satisfy a customer’s business, market, and priorities. Because Smart Trackers rely on contextual information, rather than keywords, they can pick up on concepts – and then surface insights – without having to be an exact match. This means that Gong delivers AI that is three times more accurate than off-the-shelf systems and keyword-based analysis.

Gong Introduces Model Context Protocol (MCP) Support to Unify Enterprise AI Agents from Hubspot, Microsoft, Salesforce, and Others

Gong Introduces Model Context Protocol (MCP) Support to Unify Enterprise AI Agents from Hubspot, Microsoft, Salesforce, and Others

SAN FRANCISCO and AUSTIN, TX – October 21, 2025: Today at Gong Celebrate, Gong, the leading revenue AI platform, announced new ways for its ecosystem of partners to leverage Gong, including model context protocol (MCP) support. This strategic move formalizes a crucial level of interoperability for its ecosystem, enabling customers to deploy highly effective agentic AI systems that share data and context across leading enterprise platforms. The introduction of MCP support by Gong—with critical integrations initially with Microsoft Dynamics 365 and Microsoft 365 Copilot, Salesforce, and others —is a direct response to the industry challenge of AI fragmentation. The effectiveness of AI agents is inherently limited by their data access; if they are siloed in one application, they cannot orchestrate tasks or make decisions based on the complete customer journey. Gong’s new MCP support enables two-way intelligence flow to unify the revenue stack. The MCP Gateway enhances Gong by seamlessly integrating external data and workflows from partners into internal features, such as AI Briefer and AI Ask Anything. Conversely, the MCP Server enables external AI agents – like those in Salesforce or Microsoft Copilot – to query Gong directly, ensuring revenue teams can leverage Gong's critical customer and deal intelligence wherever they work. “With the new MCP support, customers will be able to leverage Gong’s data, insights, and AI agents directly within their existing revenue stack,” said Eran Aloni, EVP Product Strategy and Ecosystem, Gong. “This new AI interoperability ecosystem delivers the flexibility and added intelligence to help revenue teams orchestrate their mission-critical revenue motions in the way that is most compatible with their business.” With the introduction of MCP support, Gong is again expanding the footprint of the Gong Collective, enabling revenue organizations to streamline workflows and deeply understand their pipeline. With new technology integration partners, global systems integrators, and consulting partners, the Gong Collective now boasts over 300 members. Over 80 technology, consulting, GSI, private equity, hyperscaler, and agency partners joined Gong at its Partner Summit as part of Celebrate to collaborate around a continued drive towards helping global enterprises win more with revenue AI. Hubspot CRM “With new HubSpot MCP available in Gong, our customers can orchestrate mission-critical revenue motions directly within Gong while staying connected to their existing revenue stack,” said Brian Gorbett, VP of Product at HubSpot. “This interoperability makes HubSpot context accessible where customers already work, giving revenue professionals the context they need in Gong and enabling them to take action back in HubSpot to run critical motions more efficiently and effectively.” Microsoft Dynamics 365 and Microsoft 365 Copilot "The introduction of MCP support is key to deepening existing integrations between Gong and Microsoft products like Microsoft Dynamics 365 and Microsoft 365 Copilot,” said Karan Nigam, Agentic Customer Experience, Microsoft. “This enables Gong's revenue AI agents to connect into Microsoft’s platforms and AI Agents, allowing revenue teams to capture the full power of Gong’s AI OS for revenue wherever they work across the Microsoft stack." Salesforce Agentforce "With Agentforce and Gong supporting the Model Context Protocol, we are expanding the ability for revenue organizations to streamline workflows and deeply understand their pipeline,” said Josh Israels, Sr. Director of Next Gen Partnerships, Salesforce. “This agentic interoperability allows customers to bi-directionally access partner data, insights, and workflows inside both Gong and Salesforce, unlocking powerful new revenue potential." SAN FRANCISCO and AUSTIN, TX – October 21, 2025: Gong, the leading revenue AI company, today announced new product innovations at Gong Celebrate, built to unify and orchestrate essential go-to-market workloads across the entire revenue organization. Built into the Gong Revenue AI Operating System (OS), these capabilities are designed to help teams win more deals with greater intelligence, automation, and visibility. The new products are designed to help teams orchestrate revenue growth and broader business success, and are built to help revenue teams: Improve sales reps’ productivity as much as 2x1 Execute key sales motions such as account handoffs, up to 5x faster2 Support leaders in making up to 2x higher-quality decisions3 A Unified and Trusted AI OS for Revenue For too long, revenue teams have operated within data silos and using disconnected tools, making it difficult to align strategy, execution, and measurement. To drive meaningful business outcomes, revenue teams – the heartbeat of any organization – need a single AI OS that unifies data, workflows, and actions into a single platform that orchestrates the entire go-to-market (GTM) organization around what wins. “As Rippling has grown, our revenue organization has evolved to navigate increasing complexity. In this environment, success hinges on being able to align our strategic priorities, like driving accurate forecasts, with accurate and efficient execution among our sales reps,” said Jameson Yung, SVP International Sales, Rippling. “Gong brings these elements together, empowering our organization to scale best practices and achieve consistent outcomes that contribute to business growth.” Introducing Gong Orchestrate: From Insight to Execution in One Place Gong Orchestrate is designed to close the gap between business strategy and front-line execution on revenue teams. This industry-first solution will enable teams to define, execute, and evaluate the effectiveness of GTM strategies all in one place.4 Companies have traditionally relied on sales reps to follow critical plays such as new business, cross-selling, onboarding, and more. However, this can create inconsistencies, costing time and sacrificing quality. By unifying these motions into a single solution, revenue organizations can centralize the strategic direction and tactical execution of their sales motions, creating better alignment and efficiency. Gong Orchestrate is built to work by: Guiding leaders to quickly and accurately define, create, and launch consistent sales plays for adoption across the organization Surfacing real-time guidance for sellers across the buying journey, allowing entire teams to execute more consistently Identifying and scaling winning strategies based on data that measures business impact Furthermore, the AI capabilities in Gong Orchestrate are built on Gong’s trusted data privacy framework, ensuring customer interaction data is processed securely and in compliance with data protection laws. “Over the past several years, AI has delivered incredible insights and efficiencies to revenue teams, but it has fallen short when it comes to linking these with automated actions across the revenue cycle,” said Eilon Reshef, co-founder and Chief Product Officer, Gong. “Gong is changing that by introducing new capabilities that will let teams orchestrate their revenue workloads within a unified operating system that integrates visibility, intelligence, and automation – with trust built in.” Transformative revenue orchestration relies on the foundational elements of intelligence, visibility, and automation to inform and optimize key processes. Gong is unveiling additional innovations in each of these areas. AI Agents delivering deep intelligence To deliver end-to-end revenue orchestration, Gong is enhancing how companies understand and act on insights by introducing deeper understanding. Powered by the Gong Revenue Graph’s complete and dynamic map of customer interactions, new offerings include: Expanding its popular AI Ask Anything agent, which has previously let users query calls, accounts, deals, and individual contacts, to now enable natural language questioning across their entire customer base. This will provide even more comprehensive insights to guide leaders making strategic business decisions. AI Deep Researcher agent. Extending beyond a simple chatbot interface, this agent features a multi-step analysis capability that handles complex business questions requiring in-depth explanations. In this way, AI Deep Researcher will deliver trustworthy insights based on real interactions. Combined, these agents – part of an expanded portfolio which now includes 18 agents – can deliver valuable insights that help teams drive greater organizational intelligence and success. For example, a sales leader can use the expanded AI Ask Anything feature to evaluate how new messaging is resonating with prospects, and then leverage AI Deep Researcher to report on its impact on win/loss metrics. Automation to drive faster execution New automation capabilities from Gong are designed to enable greater collaboration between revenue teams and agents, helping streamline and speed the transition from strategy to execution. The new AI Data Extractor agent will automatically create fields within CRM and auto-populate them based on captured customer interactions, eliminating the need for sales reps to manually enter data. These fields can then be automatically brought into revenue workflows – and ultimately help scale growth. Organizational-level visibility for business outcomes With new ways to visualize Gong’s insights and reports, businesses can optimize how they configure and understand critical revenue data. For example: Configurable Forecast Boards will deliver increased flexibility and customizability for forecasting, directly pulling data from customer interactions. Account Boards will extend beyond sales reps to engage post-sales and account management teams with complete context, enabling them to manage renewals, expansions, and churn alongside the teams driving new business. The new Gong Revenue AI Operating System represents the next evolution of go-to-market execution—a single, trusted AI system that unifies teams, workflows, and insights to drive consistent revenue growth.
