Join us for our virtual hackathon on May 24, 2024!
This no-code hackathon is open to anyone who is interested in participating collectively on a joint strategy, design, and development of a web experience that demonstrates the power of Gong’s AI.
About the Hackathon

Whether you’re a product expert, design guru, content wiz, or digital strategist, this is your chance to collaborate, ideate, and prototype alongside fellow innovators. During this hackathon, teams will have 3 hours to brainstorm and develop an actionable proposal that satisfy one of the following themes:
- Unlock the Full Potential of Your Revenue Team
- RevOps Transformation
- Accelerate and Grow Your Business
- Key Persona Adoption
The task at hand
Each team will get together and develop a pitch for their selected theme.
At the end of the hackathon, you should be ready to present the following:
- A cutting-edge web experience—you don’t have to build these, just showcase the idea through drawings, slides, or mockups to demonstrate your concept
- A strategic promotion plan
- An outline of measurable KPIs that tie back to individual OKRs
- A timeline of the execution plan for a Q2 launch
Judging Criteria
The Marketing Leadership Team will score each of the teams based on the following criteria (scale of 1-5 with 5 being the highest):
- Creativity & Innovation
Does the team showcase unique and innovative solutions to the problem statement or opportunities identified? - Ability to Execute
Does the idea translate into a tangible plan that demonstrates a clear and well-executed strategy? - Potential Impact
How big of an impact could the project have on the target persona(s)? How big of an impact could it have beyond the target community? - Scalability & Utility
What is the project’s potential for scalability and flexibility? Does the strategy accommodate future growth, changes, or additional features?

Theme #1
Unlock the Full Potential of Your Revenue Team
We’ve consistently heard from our sales team that companies don’t know who Gong is, what our platform does, and how we’re different from other sales tools in the market.
For this theme, create a web experience and promotion plan that boosts awareness of Gong’s proprietary AI and demonstrates
how it unlocks the potential of revenue teams.
**This prompt ties into the Productivity GTM Play.
Primary Persona: Enablement
Secondary Persona: Sales Leaders / RevOps Leadership
TL;DR messaging: Harness AI-driven insights to focus coaching on high-impact and close skills gaps, accelerate ramp time with onboarding programs based on winning talk tracks and behaviors, and grow year over year by successfully landing strategic initiatives.
Problem (Awareness): Enablement leaders and managers struggle to measure the adoption and effectiveness of their onboarding, coaching, and training efforts.
Consequences (Awareness): Missed revenue targets, customer dissatisfaction, competitive disadvantage, inefficient use of resources

In today’s market, we are seeing the role and influence of the RevOps persona become more prominent. However, in the current economic environment, there is more pressure on Ops to justify the value of existing tools and new tools than ever before.
For this prompt, create a web experience and promotion plan that educates RevOps leaders on how Gong AI helps teams hit targets, streamline sales processes, and achieve measurable business outcomes.
**This prompt ties into the Predictability GTM Play.
Primary Persona: RevOps
Secondary Persona: Sales leaders
TL;DR Messaging: Use AI to spot revenue risk, drive revenue precision, and produce more accurate forecasts.
Problem (Awareness): Historically low seller productivity and economic headwinds are making it harder than ever before to generate predictable revenue.
Consequences (Awareness): The inability to generate predictable revenue hurts stakeholder (and shareholder) confidence leading to hiring freezes, pauses on pay increases and bonuses, and ultimately layoffs. For this theme, create a web experience and promotion plan that demonstrates how Gong’s AI facilitates more thoughtful and effective interactions with prospects and leads.
**This prompt ties into the Growth GTM Play.
Primary Persona: CRO / Sales Leadership
Secondary Persona: CS Leadership
TL;DR messaging: Use AI to deliver exceptional customer experiences across your entire book of business to create, manage, convert, and grow revenue (i.e. create, land, expand)
Problem (Awareness): As deals continue to grow in complexity, revenue teams struggle to generate and convert high-quality pipeline and retain and expand existing customers.
Consequences (Awareness): Missed revenue targets, competitive disadvantage, low sales morale
Our Solution (Consideration): Organizations can efficiently create, manage, and convert pipeline using Engage (primary app but also Conversation Intelligence) to prioritize smarter, personalize with ease, and collaborate seamlessly, leveraging one unified platform across the entire customer lifecycle.

Theme #4
Key Persona Adoption
When the key personas of RevOps, Enablement, and Sales leaders use Gong weekly, the likelihood of churn drops from 42% to 13%. Explore ways to promote how these key personas can use Gong (and its AI) to: (1) achieve the outcomes promised during pre-sales and (2) develop habits that build healthy adoption.
For this prompt, create a web experience that onboards customers to existing (and new) AI features, to support the goal of upsell and renewal opportunities.
** This prompt focuses on taking the first 3 themes, from pre-sales to post-sales.
Primary Persona: RevOps, Enablement, Sales Leaders
TL;DR Messaging: Improve onboarding to develop habits that build healthy company-wide adoption of Gong’s platform and uplevel customer usage of AI-features from beginner-level behaviors to advanced.
