Creating space to thrive: Gong’s year of belonging, growth, and representation

Fostering a culture of belonging is more than just an intention — it’s a continuous commitment to creating an environment where every employee feels seen, heard, and valued. It’s one thing to build a successful business and create raving fans. But it’s equally important to create a company whose employees truly enjoy coming to work and showing up as their authentic selves.
This year, my role as Chief People Officer feels just as important as it has ever felt. While broader conversations around diversity have shifted over time, at Gong, our commitment to inclusivity and belonging has never been about trends. It’s a reflection of the global, culturally diverse community that has been core to our success from the very beginning.
At its core, Gong is a company dedicated to helping businesses grow, and we apply that same philosophy to our culture. We’re deeply committed to fostering an environment where every Gongster can grow, thrive, and reach their full potential. The evidence is clear: when people can bring their authentic selves to work, their potential is unlocked, and we all become stronger.
As we look back on our last fiscal year, we’re proud to share our progress.
Building inclusive communities and allyship
We conducted our first Blueprint Maturity Assessment with an external partner. We are proud to share that Gong outpaced industry benchmarks in leadership engagement around belonging. We were also included in the top tier of companies that regularly conduct pay equity analyses and of companies that currently have a belonging strategy.
A thriving workplace begins with a strong community that facilitates connection. To ensure everyone feels they belong at Gong, we focused last year on amplifying diverse voices, celebrating cultural moments, and fostering connections. We achieved that through Gong Circles, more than 30 employee-led events designed to build safe spaces and support networks. Our Allyship Listen & Learn Series also provided curated educational programming to support diverse communities, with dedicated events. The impact of these programs is felt and in our last engagement survey, 77% of our Gongstersshared they feel like they “Belong at Gong.”
To continue to hold ourselves accountable to fair and equitable pay, we partnered with an outside consultant to conduct our fifth annual pay equity analysis.
Through these initiatives, we continue to build a more inclusive workplace where fairness, transparency, and accountability are paramount.
Looking ahead to FY26
As we move into FY26, Gong will continue driving initiatives that promote belonging, inclusion, and equity across our organization. We will continue our focused support for underrepresented communities through our Circles, mentorship, and professional development opportunities.
Our journey toward belonging is a daily and ongoing effort, and we’re excited to continue building a workplace where everyone can thrive. Together, we can create a culture that not only supports but actively celebrates diversity, equity, and inclusion.
